EHE International And The Women’s Heart Foundation Deliver A Critical Message To Women For National Heart Month In NYC Window Display

NEW YORK, Feb. 2, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- This year alone, nearly 370,000 American women will succumb to heart disease and stroke, 8.6 million women worldwide. Life-threatening, but subtle heart symptoms are experienced by many women. This urgent message to women is in a display window that was gifted to the Women’s Heart Foundation (WHF) for the month of February, at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, by the EHE International, with metaphoric storybook graphics brilliantly outlining women’s symptoms.

Women's Heart Foundation

“We are thrilled and excited to have received this gift from EHE for Heart Month messaging campaign. This will allow us to reach thousands more women because subtle symptoms lead to treatment delays and death,” said Ms. Bonnie Arkus, RN, WHF Executive Director and founder. “We are advocating for research of new tools that can safely and more accurately diagnose heart disease in women. This is where the medical community is currently most challenged,” says Ms Arkus.

“One of the most important steps that women can take in order to properly care for their hearts is learning their risks for heart disease,” said Deborah McKeever, president of EHE International. “Our gift to the Women’s Heart Foundation will assist in expanding their mission of prevention and education, promoting awareness of gender-specific medicine and equality in heart care survival.”

The Banner BIG REVEAL will take place by the TODAY SHOW, 10 Rockefeller plaza at 8:00AMFeb 3. ALL INVITED.
