CASTRO VALLEY, Calif., March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- On Tuesday, February 28, the leadership of Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 250, took represented employees at Eden Medical Center out on strike. The union represents 300 housekeepers, food service workers, unit clerks, nursing assistants, licensed vocational nurses and clerical employees, including full time, part time, on-call and per-diem workers. This work stoppage does not include registered nurses or physicians.
In a stunning show of discontent with the union, 67% of those employees represented by SEIU have chosen to report to work. These union-represented employees are taking an unprecedented move to hold a press conference, stating they are upset by the union's tactics and posturing and want to share their side of this story.
