Dr. Pierre Maison-Blanche Joins Biomedical Systems As New Chief Medical Officer

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Biomedical Systems, a global provider of centralized diagnostic services to the clinical trial industry, recently announced the appointment of Dr. Pierre Maison-Blanche as their Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Maison-Blanche earned his MD in 1981 from the University of Paris and specialized in Cardiology at Lariboisire Hospital. For the past thirty years, Dr. Maison-Blanche has performed angiography and clinical research in the cardiovascular therapeutic area in the Cardiology Department at Lariboisiere Hospital. Dr. Maison-Blanche’s clinical specialty is non-invasive cardiac electrophysiology and he organized the first ECG Laboratory at Lariboisiere Hospital under the leadership of Dr. Philippe Coumel.

In addition to his duties as Biomedical Systems’ Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Maison-Blanche serves as a Consultant for Assistance Publique des Hopitaux de Paris. In 1998, Maison-Blanche established the Centralized ECG Services Department for MDS Pharma Services in Paris, France and chaired the MDS ECG Advisory Board from 2002 - 2006. Maison-Blanche has participated in several End of Phase II meetings with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as well as in Advisory Boards as an active member. He is currently a member and the Chairman of Data Monitoring Committees for on going trials.

Dr. Maison-Blanche is a highly sought after speaker and has published with leading journals around the world. He is a member of numerous professional societies and boards including the International Society for Holter and Noninvasive Electrocardiology.
