Dr. John P. Donoghue Wins Germany’s Top Neuroscience Honor for Development of Cyberkinetics Neurotechnology Systems, Inc.'s BrainGate System

Donoghue, Ph.D., Cyberkinetics’ Chief Scientific Officer and director of the Brain Science Program at Brown University, will be awarded the K. J. Zülch Prize, Germany’s highest honor for neurological research. Dr. Donoghue is being recognized for his groundbreaking research on the BrainGate Neural Interface System (BrainGate), a technology designed to enable severely paralyzed people to use thought alone to operate a variety of assistive devices, such as a computer cursor and a wheelchair.
