Farmington, Conn.—The Jackson Laboratory has hired Dawn Scott, an experienced human resources professional, to manage recruiting and human resources services at its new genomic research center in Farmington, Conn.
Scott will assist Senior Manager Human Resources Carol O’Brien in recruiting and supporting new scientific, administrative and operations staff for The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine. JAX Genomic Medicine is housed in temporary space on the campus of the University of Connecticut Health Center. A permanent facility will be ready for occupancy in the fall of 2014.
Scott’s professional background includes recruiting and hiring for a variety of large corporate environments, including research, pharmaceutical and health care organizations. Most recently, she was a senior contract recruiter for CiDRA, a global technology and product development company headquartered in Wallingford, Conn.
Scott attended Northeastern University and earned a B.S. in Marketing from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. She and her husband, Paul, live in Guilford, Conn., and have three adult children. She enjoys long-distance bicycle touring and also has performed as a stand-up comic.
