CHADDS FORD, Pa., Sept. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- I-trax, Inc. , a leader in integrated health and productivity management, announced today that CHD Meridian Healthcare, an I-trax company, has opened an employer-sponsored, on-site corporate health center for Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey (Horizon BCBSNJ), the state’s largest health insurer, at its headquarters in Newark with two additional on-site health centers to be opened in the fourth quarter of this year at its Wall and Mt. Laurel Township locations. The three facilities will serve more than 3,000 Horizon BCBSNJ employees.
CHD Meridian Healthcare will manage and staff the three corporate health centers with a registered nurse and a nurse practitioner whom are based in Newark and will travel to the other two facilities. The Newark facility, which opened in mid-August, combines wellness and preventative care, occupational health and health education. Some of the centers’ services include blood pressure and cholesterol checks, allergy and flu shots, emergency and light primary care, maintenance visits, lactation consulting and a pharmacy concierge service. An icon on each employee’s computer desktop enables employees to book appointments online.
