Chad Ronholdt Joins LABS Inc.

CENTENNIAL, Colo., April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- LABS Inc., one of the premier transplant reference and consultative laboratories in the country, announced today that it has added Chad J. Ronholdt, an innovator in the medical device and orthobiologic industries, to its executive team as Director of Business Development.

Ronholdt has led a distinguished career in the field of medical devices and biologics for 13 years, with a solid record of transforming fundamental scientific concepts into effective products used by surgeons worldwide. He has worked with various tissue allograft and orthopaedic medical device producers as well as several research laboratories in both scientific and strategic capacities. He also served as the Chair of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) Scientific and Technical Affairs Committee from 2005 to 2008.

His most recent position was Director of Research and Development at AlloSource, one of the nation’s largest non-profit providers of tissue allografts for use in surgical procedures. In this role Ronholdt was the primary inventor on three patent-pending platform technologies that greatly enhance allograft safety and was a co-inventor on a specialized allograft designed for spine surgeries. He was also responsible for the exploration, identification and evaluation of new technologies and product concepts that advanced the company’s intellectual property and product offering portfolio.

As the Director of Business Development at LABS Inc., Ronholdt will be responsible for maintaining and building existing client service offerings as well as expanding into more innovative markets not currently served by LABS Inc. He will work with the AATB and other allograft agencies to develop new offerings for the tissue testing product line and Ronholdt will be working directly with medical device companies and other manufacturers to develop new product offerings to meet their needs.

“I am proud to announce the hire of Chad Ronholdt, a dedicated microbiologist, researcher, executive and medical device innovator,” said Elizabeth Hearty, Chief Executive Officer of LABS Inc. “I am confident Chad’s keen eye for development strategy and rich background in science will make him an important asset for LABS Inc. moving forward.”
