Cambrex Charles City Inc. announced a $19 million construction project that could lead to 45 to 60 new jobs over the next three years. The expansion project will increase the plant’s ability to manufacture active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and advanced intermediates for the pharmaceutical industry, according to a news release from the company. “We are very pleased that Cambrex is experiencing this level of growth within a very competitive industry,” said Joe Nettleton, vice president of operations and Charles City site director.
