MORRISTOWN, N.J., April 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Bayer HealthCare’s Consumer Care Division has announced the next chapter in the ALEVE(R) Good News story -- a “Daily Dose of Good News.” From May 1 to May 31, a new ad featuring the true and inspirational story of someone who has overcome arthritis pain with the help of ALEVE, will air each day on television stations from coast to coast.
The “Daily Dose of Good News” campaign is part of the ALEVE brand’s fully integrated marketing initiative launched at the end of 2005 that includes the promotion of “Good News” through advertising, promotions, public relations, and the “ALEVE Good News” Web site at http://www.Alevegoodnews.com . The goal of the campaign is to reinforce the ALEVE brand’s commitment to providing a positive influence in people’s lives.
“When we asked people to share their good news with ALEVE, we received thousands of responses. These stories were so impactful that we wanted to be able to more broadly share them, and truly establish these real people as role models for others who are currently suffering with the pain of arthritis,” said Jay Kolpon, Vice President, Marketing and New Business Development, Bayer Consumer Care Division. “We want to continue to provide a positive message to people with arthritis and let them know that options for pain relief are available and can make a significant difference in their lives.”
More than 2,000 consumers have shared their personal experiences on the “ALEVE Good News” Web site, including the 31 stories to be featured during the advertising campaign. Be it a senior tap dancer, a stay-at-home Dad, or a Mom who wants to be able to climb the bleachers at her son’s football games, each talks about the impact pain relief with ALEVE has had on their lives.
“These are their stories, in their words. We just turned the camera on and got out of the way,” noted Ed Maslow, Senior Creative Director at BBDO, the agency that created the campaign.
The commercials were shot documentary style over 12 days in three hub cities - New York, Miami and Phoenix. A total of $10 million was spent to purchase all of the time slots, including television and radio day parts for the month of May.
