FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Consistent with their desire to proactively respond to customers’ needs, Avail Medical Products, Inc. -- the world’s largest provider of outsource services for single-use medical devices -- today announced that construction has commenced on a new manufacturing facility in Shenzhen, China which is scheduled to open during the third quarter of 2005.
Avail China is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avail Medical Products, Inc., and will be staffed with Avail employees using Avail’s corporate quality system for all products produced in the facility. The location of this facility was strategically chosen for ease of access to world markets as it is only 1 1/2 hours by truck to Hong Kong, the world’s largest container port.
In Shenzhen, Avail China will focus on delivering finished single-use medical device products for medical device OEMs around the world. “The global medical device business is expected to grow at a compound average growth rate of 7 percent through the end of this decade, with the finished goods outsource segment growing at more than twice that rate,” observed J.
