PALM DESERT, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Altus HealthCare Incorporated today announced the formation of Altus Physician Services, Inc., the fourth in a series of wholly owned subsidiaries, each with a unique Line of Business aimed at supporting the company’s healthcare operations. Originally planned for launch in July of this year, Altus moved forward the creation of Altus Physician Services, Inc. in order to assure that its physician syndicates grow in lock-step with its rapidly expanding network of contracted Ambulatory Surgery Centers (“ASC”). Altus Physician Services, Inc. will be tasked with establishing nationwide groups of physician syndicates to support its ASC network. While newly formed this week, internal Altus corporate staff have been working behind the scenes for several months to assure that when it came on line Altus Physician Services, Inc. would have a jump on the task of building the syndicates to be associated with the 6 new ASCs to be added this year. As word has spread that the first of these will be established in Southern California (focusing on the up-market areas of Orange County, Palm Springs and Beverly Hills), Altus is pleased with the early expressions of interest it is receiving from surgeons in these areas. When fully operational, Altus Physician Services, Inc. will provide all of the support services needed to administratively manage the company’s nationwide group of specialty surgeons and physicians.
About Altus
Altus provides administrative and patient-focused services to the greater healthcare community. Its focus is on bridging gaps in the healthcare system where the system fails to deliver the services needed. In particular, it serves the natural network formed by Patients, Physicians and Healthcare Facilities by providing physicians and clinical facility operators with strategic services which orient their business to more effectively serve the patient and helping patients connect with the best facility and physician to meet their needs. Altus does this by creating “networks” of physicians and healthcare facilities that represent “best of breed” and that have the time and desire to work with new patients. Altus’ focus is on the health and wellness vertical, targeting elective weight loss surgery, cosmetic surgery and those forms of outpatient surgery conducive to Ambulatory Surgery Centers (e.g. orthopedic, podiatric, arthroscopic, general surgery et al).
