The new standard, released in December 2000, is an internationally recognized quality management system standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO 9001:2000 is a process-based Quality Management System (QMS) and enables organizations to more directly link business objectives with business effectiveness.

Tela Sourcing was launched in October 2004 as a joint venture between Adaptis and MDIndia Healthcare Services Ltd., to provide a cost-effective and highly efficient option for claims processing and other administrative back office functions by leveraging offshore resources.
