MALVERN, Pa., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Auxilium Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced today that it has entered into definitive agreements with certain institutional investors to sell 3.672 million shares of its common stock at a price of $14.50 per share, resulting in proceeds net of offering expenses and placement agency fees of approximately $49.9 million. Auxilium is offering all of the shares of common stock pursuant to an effective registration statement previously filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The offering is expected to close on or before June 13, 2007 and is subject to certain closing conditions.
The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the sale of these securities for general corporate purposes, including working capital, product development and capital expenditures.
