The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) announced the selection of Prometheus Research as its principal informatics partner.
NEW HAVEN, Conn, May 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- The American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) announced the selection of Prometheus Research as its principal informatics partner. Their aim is to replace the existing AUGS AQUIRE registry with a solution capable of concurrently supporting multiple mission-driven data initiatives. "After several years of pushing the limits of our existing registry capabilities, we recognized the need for a solution that enables us to capitalize on collaborative opportunities available both today and on the horizon," explained Dr. Colleen Skau, Research Programs Manager at AUGS. "The Prometheus team immediately recognized what we were trying to do and worked closely with us on a plan to get us there with minimal disruption to our members and staff." The Society's new registry solution will be built using RexRegistry, Prometheus' next-generation agile data platform. RexRegistry leverages modern health informatics techniques to simultaneously serve existing needs, such as providing AUGS members with a QCDR pathway to participate in the CMS Quality Payment Program (QPP), while making data from a range of disparate sources continuously repurposable. This will allow AUGS to expand beyond the QPP program to serve an evolving array of mission-driven data initiatives and partnerships. RexRegistry natively uses modern health standards like HL7 FHIR and complies with the latest interoperability approaches. "We are thrilled to be partnering with AUGS," added David Voccola, co-founder and Senior Consultant at Prometheus. "Our passion for data quality and deep health research expertise make us a natural fit for supporting their mission to improve the lives of women impacted by pelvic floor disorders."
