Veteran Medical Device Executive to Lead Start-up Aragon Surgical, Inc.
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aragon Surgical, Inc., a venture-backed surgical device company, announced the appointment of Roseanne Varner as its president and CEO. She will continue to serve on the company’s board of directors which she joined in 2007. Ms. Varner brings to Aragon Surgical significant experience and a successful track record as a medical device executive. She most recently was President and CEO of Aspire Medical Inc, a Bay area venture-backed company focused on a new treatment for sleep apnea. Prior to Aspire, she served as founder/CEO of Atherotech, Inc and CEO of Gynecare where she spearheaded the company’s growth and acquisition by Johnson & Johnson. Ms Varner has held key positions with several other medical devices corporations, including Medtronic.
