Occlutech Obtains European CE Approval For Its Novel mVSD Device
SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, September 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ --
Occlutech, a leading innovator of implants to treat structural heart disease today announced that it has obtained European CE Mark approval for its dedicated muscular Ventricle Septal Defect Closure Device, (VSD). The device is a specifically designed implant indicated for the minimally invasive closure of muscular Ventricle Septal Defects, VSD.

Occlutech's muscular VSD occluder consists of a flexible nitinol wire mesh with "shape-memory" properties. The Occlutech mVSD implant allows fast, atraumatic, minimally invasive closure of these defects. VSD closure using implantable devices is an alternative to open heart surgery.
