Massachusetts Biotechnology Council, Inc. to Highlight Jobs and Economic Development in Contract Research and Manufacturing Sector

What: MassBio will host the first CRO/CMO Symposium featuring Lt. Governor Timothy P. Murray to showcase the strength of Massachusetts’ contract research and manufacturing sector. Lieutenant Governor Murray will discuss the prospects and successes for job creation in this economic climate.

The CRO/CMO cluster provides the scientific external resources required to support a virtual and semi virtual company from conception through commercialization. Massachusetts is home to dozens of CRO and CMO organizations that are critical to the success of the biotechnology industry here and around the world.

The day-long symposium will include panel discussions, keynote presentations and an exhibition area, and is expected to draw more than 200 participants from the biotechnology industry.

Other keynote speakers are Josef H. von Rickenbach, Chairman, CEO and Founder of PAREXEL International, and Karen N. Archdeacon, Compliance Officer for the FDA’s New England District.
