Lanxess AG To Cut 250 Jobs, Transfer 4 Out Of Pittsburgh

Lanxess AG, the chemicals company spun off last year by Bayer AG, said it will cut about 250 jobs in order to become more competitive. The German company, which has its U.S. headquarters outside of Pittsburgh, in Findlay Township, Pa., said its fourth-quarter loss widened to $121 million from $4.89 million in the year-ago period, although sales grew 3.6 percent to about $2.18 billion.
