Global Med Technologies Taps Two New Board Members

DENVER, April 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Global Med Technologies, Inc. has announced the addition of Robert R. Gilmore, CPA, and Thomas F. Marcinek, Global Med's President and COO, as Board members of Global Med Technologies, Inc. Mr. Gilmore will also serve as the Company's Audit Committee Chairman and Mr. Marcinek will also serve as a member of Global Med's Compensation Committee.


Robert R. Gilmore, CPA

Mr. Gilmore has over 25 years' experience in finance and accounting that will bring strong financial insight to the Company. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Audit Committee Chairman of Eldorado Gold Corporation. Mr. Gilmore has held the position of CFO in other companies and has been active in capital raising and on the M&A front.

Mr. Gilmore stated, "I look forward to serving on Global Med's Board of Directors and being the Company's Audit Committee Chairman. Global Med is certainly in a growth mode and I believe that I can contribute as a member of its Board."

Thomas F. Marcinek

Mr. Marcinek has been Global Med's President and Chief Operating Officer since March of 1998. From 1994 until joining the Company, Mr. Marcinek was the president and owner of Prax Information Systems, located in Wantagh, New York, a practice management software consulting company. From 1990 to 1994, Mr. Marcinek was the President of the Data Technologies Group, a division of Henry Schein, Inc., located in Melville, New York.
