ECI Biotech is Awarded $2OOK Grant

Worcester — February 20, 2008 — ECI Biotech Inc. is pleased to announce that it has been awarded $200,870 from the NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ALLERGY AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES (NIAID) at the National Institute of Health (NIH) to develop a diagnostic for vaginal yeast infections (Candida Vaginitis). The focus of this phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) grant is to develop a simple and inexpensive diagnostic for the detection of this infection for both consumer and professional markets.
