Cytyc Corporation Reports Record Fourth Quarter And Full Year 2006 Results

MARLBOROUGH, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cytyc Corporation (NASDAQ:CYTC) today announced results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2006. Revenue for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, rose 18 percent to $163.1 million compared to revenue of $138.6 million for the same period of 2005. Net income for the quarter was $42.4 million, or $0.35 per diluted share, compared to net income for the same period in 2005 of $33.4 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, an increase in diluted earnings per share of 29 percent.
