BioElectronics Corporation Expands Clinical Research

FREDERICK, Md., Feb. 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- BioElectronics Corporation (OTC PINK: BIEL), the maker of consumer medical devices for pain and healing, announces the initiation of a series of new clinical trials.

Hernia Study: Dr. Frederik Berrevoetk, Current President of the Belgian Section of Abdominal Wall Surgery at the University Hospital Ghent, Belgium is conducting a postoperative recovery study on bilateral inguinal hernia repair. Hernia repair is common procedure with a relatively high risk of reoccurrence and chronic post-surgical pain. BioElectronics' RecoveryRx Surgical Recovery Therapy, with its known clinical effects of postoperative pain reduction, improved tensile strength, and accelerated healing, will prove to be very beneficial for patients undergoing this complex procedure.

Osteoarthritis Pain: This study at the University Hospital G. Martin, in Messina, Italy and will focus on knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is one of the most common musculoskeletal pain conditions and has continued to increase in prevalence in the last two decades. ActiPatch® therapy reduces inflammation and is ideally suited to aid considerably in this condition.

Lower Back Pain: This study, being conducted at the University of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, will add significant information on musculoskeletal pain conditions to our clinical data.
