NOP World Appoints Barry Zimmerman CEO Of NOP World Health

NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- NOP World has appointed Barry Zimmerman CEO of its global NOP World Health sector. In his new position, Zimmerman will lead the integration of NOP World's three health-focused companies -- Market Measures/Cozint, Strategic Marketing Corporation and NOP Healthcare -- into a single global organization. NOP World Health is a leading provider of primary market research to the worldwide pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.

Prior to his appointment, Zimmerman served as CEO of Market Measures/Cozint. In that role, he introduced numerous initiatives to improve customer service, research practices and product innovation including:

   * Building a Key Account Management structure to provide dedicated client
     support and a single point of coordination across all NOP World
     businesses
   * Creating focused product development and portfolio management processes
     to align research services with customers' business needs
   * Establishing an Emerging Markets team to meet the specialized research
     requirements of emerging pharmaceutical, biotech, device and
     diagnostics companies, as well as financial analysts, ad agencies and
     publishers
   * Re-structuring syndicated and custom research teams to maximize
     efficiency and ensure best practices

Zimmerman first joined NOP World in 2002, as Executive Vice President of Strategic Account Development. During that time, he led an executive suite program, created to provide insight and solutions to senior pharmaceutical management. In addition, he drove the successful launch of NOP World Health's ScripDriver(TM) service -- the first sales and marketing productivity tool to link brand health, patient dynamics and promotional activity to the prescribing decision.

Before coming to NOP World, Zimmerman served as Senior Vice President, Global Account Development at Quintiles. He first joined the Quintiles organization through Innovex, where he was Senior Vice President of Business Development and Marketing.

Zimmerman joined Quintiles from IMS Health, where he spent 18 years, rising from Marketing Consultant to Vice President, Business Development and Global Account Management. At IMS, Zimmerman headed a national sales and service organization. He also originated IMS's executive suite program, covering both US and global applications.
