Hormel Institute Gets Moving on $27 Million Expansion

The Hormel Institute, an Austin, Minn.-based research unit of the University of Minnesota, will nearly double in size next year as a $27 million expansion gets underway. The Post-Bulletin has details on the plans, which will see the staff at the institute increase from about 120 to 240 over two years. The number of labs, where researchers focus on cancer research, will grow from 22 to 37.
