Code's "Soft Scanning" Technology Now Available Within Allscripts Sunrise Mobile

SALT LAKE CITY, May 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Code, a healthcare industry innovator and leader in image-based barcode scanning technology, is happy to announce that Allscripts now offers Code's "soft-scanning" technology, CortexDecoder, for use within Sunrise Mobile. Available for both iOS and Android, CortexDecoder for Sunrise Mobile allows users to utilize the built-in camera of their selected mobile device to read barcodes without the need for additional hardware.

Once a license is obtained from Allscripts, a clinician will be able to use the soft scanning functionality in their mobile device. After logging into their Sunrise Mobile app, a list of assigned patients will appear. They will then be able to utilize CortexDecoder to support patient verification and medication administration simply by scanning a barcode with their device's built-in camera.
