Wong as senior director of ATCC Microbiology Systems (AMS). In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategy, management, and growth of AMS.

Dr. Wong joins ATCC from the Dow Chemical Company, where he was Advanced Diagnostics Platform Technology leader for Dow's Microbial Control business unit. In this role, he developed Dow's innovation pipeline for advanced diagnostic applications by leading the identification, analysis, development, and commercialization of new diagnostic sensors and assays for detecting harmful microorganisms in water, energy, and hygiene sectors. Dr. Wong's previous work includes business development, technology scouting and technical sales roles at Merck KGaA/EMD Millipore and Thermo Fisher/Life Technologies.
Dr. Wong earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Microbiology from Georgia State University, and was a post-doctoral fellow at Washington University Medical School and later a visiting fellow at Harvard Medical School.
