SANTA CLARA Calif., July 14, 2011 – Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that it is accepting entries for two systems biology research grants, both intended to spur development of open source data-integration tools. Each grant will provide $75,000 to a single academic or non-profit research lab in 2011.
Grant 1: Validating Protein Pathway Information – Integrating Proteomic Data with Transcriptomic or Metabolomic Datasets.
Grant 2: Modeling Disease Progression – Combining Gene Expression and Copy Number Variation Data.
The awards are open to principal investigators in foreign and domestic academic institutions and non-profit organizations. The submission deadline for these two grants is Aug. 12. Grant awards will be announced Sept. 30.
