BOSTON, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- AG Mednet, the world's largest diagnostic imaging exchange network, today announced that Barbara J. McNeil, M.D., Ph.D. has joined the Company's Board of Directors. Dr. McNeil currently serves as the Ridley Watts Professor and is the Founding Head of the Department of Health Care Policy at Harvard Medical School. She also serves as a Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. McNeil brings four decades of healthcare policy development, medical research and clinical experience to the AG Mednet board. Her work in radiology, technology analysis and quality of care is world-renowned.

Dr. McNeil is a member of the Institute of Medicine (IOM) of the National Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Blue Cross Technology Evaluation Commission. She has also served on the Prospective Payment Assessment Commission and the Medicare Coverage Advisory Commission, of which she was vice-chair. Dr. McNeil has also served on the Radiopharmaceutical Advisory Committee of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and currently is serving on the Science Board of the FDA as well as its subcommittee charged with evaluating FDA science. Additionally, she has served on a myriad editorial advisory boards, including the publications committee of the New England Journal of Medicine. Dr. McNeil received an AB degree in Chemistry from Emmanuel College, her M.D. from Harvard Medical School and her Ph.D. from Harvard University.
