MINNEAPOLIS, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Genetics, a Minneapolis-based medical technology service company, announced today that it has named John Compagno, M.D., as Associate Medical Director.
Dr. Compagno brings over 20 years of clinical pathology experience to Access Genetics, including his role as Medical Director of West Coast Pathology Laboratories in Hercules, Calif. He is certified by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic, Clinical and Hematopathology, and has practiced medicine since 1975.

As Associate Medical Director, Compagno will support current medical staff with day-to-day case reviews using Access Genetics’ web-based testing and interpretation model. He will also assist with physician education and in-service presentations, and chair Access Genetics’ Medical Advisory Board.

Compagno is currently a member of CAP, ASCP, South Bay Pathology Society, California Society of Pathologists, and is a clinical instructor at the University of California, Berkeley. He trained in pathology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology in Washington D.C., and the Naval Regional Medical Center in Oakland, Calif. He received his Masters in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco in 1997.
