MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Access Genetics, an Eden Prairie- based molecular diagnostics service company, announced today that it has named industry veteran George M. Hoedeman as its Chief Executive Officer.
Hoedeman brings extensive executive-level experience with medical and high-technology companies, including recent roles as CEO of South Bay Medical, President of the Automation Technology Division of Mentor Corp., Chairman of Wound Care Technologies, and CEO of MicroVision. He is an attorney with eight years of private practice and a CPA, formerly with KPMG. He holds eight issued and pending patents in the medical field.

As CEO, Hoedeman will emphasize the continued development of Access Genetics’ web-based molecular diagnostic services, whereby genetic expertise and ongoing support is brought to partner labs, and assay results may be rapidly interpreted remotely via the internet with expert resources. This unique and highly-successful model currently serves over 35 partner locations across the U.S., located in hospitals, reference laboratories and private pathology groups. A variety of third party assays and equipment are supported.
