BALTIMORE, July 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Audacious Inquiry (Ai), a Baltimore-based health information and policy company, today announced three new hires as the company continues to add depth, experience and leadership throughout the organization. Danny Krifcher, Ai’s newest Executive team member, will serve as Chief Financial Officer. Other welcome additions include Marnie Basom, Senior Director, and Kate Kiefert, Director. These new hires follow the Company’s January announcement of an investment from ABS Capital Partners supporting Ai’s mission to drive connected care by offering statewide solutions to Health Information Exchanges, Hospital Associations, state health departments, payer and provider organizations, and ACOs.
Danny Krifcher joins Ai from Aledade, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer. In this role, he led the company’s efforts to expand commercial payer partnerships, build new strategic partnerships, and identify new lines of business. Previously, Mr. Krifcher served as Executive Vice President at Avalere Health, where he oversaw the company’s Data Analytics Practice, Sales Organization, and Business Intelligence Unit, as well as all corporate functions including Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Technology and Legal. From 1994 until 2005, he was a senior executive at America Online, where his roles included serving as EVP and COO of the AOL Dial-Up Business, and, SVP, Corporate Operations. Mr. Krifcher graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and earned an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Marnie Basom brings over 20 years of experience with her to Ai. Her extensive background supporting healthcare strategy, innovation, and operational experience complements the services Ai provides to customers in both the public and private sectors. For the past five years she served as Vice President of State Solutions for the Western Region at Health Management Systems (HMS). In this role, she supervised account management and business development for a publicly held health care technology and consulting firm, including oversight of over $30M in annual revenue. Ms. Basom’s experience also includes roles with Blue Cross of Idaho and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare (Division of Medicaid). She holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) and a B.S. in Psychology from Oregon State University. Ms. Basom will be a member of Ai’s Medicaid Technology and Operations consulting team.
Kate Kiefert is a transformational thinker who brings 15 years of industry experience with her to Ai. Since 2015 she has served as the Principal and Owner of Amelia Mayme Consulting, LLC, and was a contracted subject matter expert supporting ONC and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (CMMI). During this period, she provided health policy, strategy, and implementation consulting for the advancement of value-based payment models, service delivery reform, technology, and population health improvement. In addition to advising state and federal health care policy and regulations, she has served as the State Health IT Coordinator for Colorado and as a Director for the Colorado Region Health Information Organization (CORHIO). Formerly, Ms. Kiefert worked for Booz Allen Hamilton and Kaiser Permanente. She received a Masters of Applied Science in Technology Management and a Certificate of Project Management from the University of Denver, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee. Additionally, she maintains a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management institute.
