Abbott Vascular is laying off but others are hiring! Check it out! (Isn’t it tempting?)
Abbott Vascular has laid off another 200 or so workers from its Temecula facility on Ynez Road, the latest in a series of cuts that has dropped a once robust workforce of 4,000 to around 2,000. Abbott’s parent Abbott Laboratories, a Fortune 500 company that makes medical devices such as heart stents and food products such as Pedialyte and Ensure, announced last year that it would be making cuts to its various facilities around the world as part of a workforce restructuring. Steve Kelly, an Abbott spokesman, said the layoffs on Tuesday, which primarily affected the manufacturing workforce at the Temecula facility, were tied to that previous announcement.
