PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 5th international meeting dedicated to ”Deciphering the Vascular Tree”, organised by La Fondation Ipsen, took place on 27 October 2008 in Paris and was entitled “Oxygen sensing in the vascular tree”. The meeting was aimed at understanding the place of oxygen in the molecular adaptations of the organisms. The important role of oxygen in biological processes is known since many years. However, research in this field has experienced a resurgence over the past few years and influenced various fields of medicine, in particular the study of blood vessels.
