PHOENIX--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 25, 2006--Zila Inc. (Nasdaq GM: ZILA) has closed on the sale of the assets of its Zila Swab Technologies, Inc. or "IST" subsidiary to Great Midwest Packaging, LLC. IST manufactures and markets plastic molded products that are used in various specialty packaging applications. The sale is consistent with Zila's strategy of focusing its business on cancer detection technologies and divesting non-core assets.
