Twin Cities -- Minnesota workers are preparing for layoffs this week at the local operations of Boston Scientific. In February, the Natick, Mass.-based medical device company said it would eliminate up to 1,300 jobs companywide in a restructuring. The company did not specify how many cuts would hit locally, where the company employs about 5,000 people between divisions in Arden Hills and Maple Grove. But Boston Scientific said at the time that a large chunk of the restructuring charges would come during the company’s first quarter, which ends Wednesday.
