London, UK. 20 April 2015 - Vision RT, the developer of world-leading motion management tools for the radiotherapy market, recently opened its European user training centre in its newly expanded headquarters in North London.
The new training centre will enable Vision RT to help radiographers and physicists from across Europe and beyond to gain hands-on training with the company’s AlignRT® system which is defining the standard of care in motion management in radiotherapy. The AlignRT® system provides optical guidance for patient positioning during radiation therapy to help clinical users to deliver the required radiation dose safely, efficiently and comfortably to the patient.
At the new training centre Vision RT will employ the first phase of the training programme developed at its North American centre in Columbia, Maryland. During the entire three-phase programme, users will learn how to use AlignRT® in an “as-live” environment without interruption as well as participate in additional online learning.
Vision RT’s installed system base in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) and Asia-Pacific increased 34% in 2014, with 31 new installations during the year. The AlignRT® system is now installed in 123 treatment centres in EMEA and Asia-Pacific.
