WOBURN, Mass., June 19 /PRNewswire/ -- VisEn Medical, Inc., a leader in fluorescence in vivo imaging from research through medicine, today announced that Jerry Williamson will join the Company as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer. In this new position for the Company, Mr. Williamson will lead VisEn's worldwide Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing and Customer Support Programs. Mr. Williamson's role with VisEn is a key component in furthering the Company's mission of providing today's leading research, pharmaceutical and clinical institutions with the top technologies and solutions in translational fluorescence molecular imaging.
Jerry Williamson has most recently served as President of Biacore, Inc., a leading provider of life science analytical products (acquired by GE Healthcare in 2006). Prior to working with Biacore, Mr. Williamson was President of the genetic detection company, Pyrosequencing, Inc. Mr. Williamson has over 20 years of senior management and strategic and tactical business experience in life science, pharmaceutical and biotech technology companies. He holds a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry from the University of Vermont as well as a Masters in Business Administration from Boston University.
