US Medical-Device Firms Likely To See Stability

WSJ -- TAKING THE PULSE: Fourth-quarter reports from medical-device companies are expected to show signs of stability on some fronts and modest improvement on others as the sector rebounds from recession. Growth in markets for replacement hips and knees was slowed by deferred procedures, but Leerink Swann sees “stable-to-improving trends” there. It also sees stability in heart-device markets, but with pressure on device prices.
