(Nasdaq: TRMS) today announced worldwide net sales of FUZEON for the first quarter of 2009 were $27.8 million, down 35 percent from $42.7 million in the first quarter of 2008. Net sales of FUZEON in the U.S. and Canada for the first quarter of 2009 were $10.0 million, down 41 percent from $17.0 million in the first quarter of 2008. Net sales of FUZEON outside the U.S. and Canada for the first quarter of 2009 were $17.8 million, down 31 percent from $25.7 million in the first quarter of 2008. All sales of FUZEON are recorded by F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd, (“Roche”), Trimeris’ collaborative partner.
