DURHAM, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Trimeris, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRMS) today announced financial results for the three months ended September 30, 2008, reporting net income of $3.6 million, or $0.16 per share compared with $5.5 million, or $0.25 per share for the three months ended September 30, 2007. This result was primarily driven by decreased FUZEON® sales offset, in part, by lower operating expenses.
