Transcend Medical, Inc. Expands Leadership Team Appointing Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of Clinical Affairs

MENLO PARK, Calif., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Transcend Medical, Inc., an ophthalmic device company dedicated to delivering breakthrough advances in the treatment of glaucoma, today announced that it has filled two key positions with the addition of Sean Ianchulev, MD, as Chief Medical Officer and Ginger Clasby as Vice President of Clinical Affairs.

Dr. Ianchulev received his medical degree and a master’s of public health from Harvard University and completed his specialty training at the Doheny Eye Institute, University of Southern California. As a practicing ophthalmic surgeon and glaucoma specialist, he is well published in the field of ophthalmology and currently serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of California at San Francisco (UCSF).
