Medtronic Inc. said Wednesday that the Food and Drug Administration has OK'd its Reveal Linq heart monitor, the latest product from the company's Itty Bitty Medical Devices division. OK, I made the name up, but really, this thing is small — about one-third the size of a AAA battery and implanted in a patient though a one-centimeter incision. Once inside, the device can monitor cardiac function and help diagnose abnormal heart rhythms.
