Drugs delivered in consistently uniform microcapsules may offer an easier, more tightly controlled way to treat brain cancer. “Brain tumors are one of the world’s deadliest diseases,” says Mohammad Reza Abidian, assistant professor of bioengineering, chemical engineering, and materials science at Penn State. “Typically doctors resect the tumors, do radiation therapy, and then chemotherapy.”
