This Is How Much D.C. Doctors Made From The Pharmaceutical Industry Last Year

Drug and device companies paid about $16 million to doctors in the District in the form of travel fees, food and beverages, honoraria and other perks last year.

That is according to newly released data for 2015 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Part of its Open Payments program, the information is required to be disclosed annually by drug and device companies for the database under the Sunshine Act provision of the Affordable Care Act.
