The newly-created position is being established as part of an ambitious new ACMG strategic plan being launched in 2019. The current ACMG Executive Director, Michael S. Watson, PhD, FACMG will continue working with ACMG during the search and will help facilitate the transition to the new CEO, as well as continue working with its major grants. ACMG President Louanne Hudgins, MD, FACMG and chair of the CEO Search Committee said, “ACMG is taking this new direction with a search for an MD CEO to deal with many of the practice-related issues we as genetics providers face every day.
