October 16, 2007 -- A traditional Chinese medicine, delisheng, proved to be effective against hepatocellular cancer (HCC) by researchers in China. An article in The World Journal of Gastroenterology detailed their findings. The research team found that delisheng provoked a “satisfactory” cells inhibition ratio compared to 5-fluorouracil and adriamycin, and the team hypothesized that the mechanism of action was the up-regulation of endostatin caused by ginseng.
