Study Shows Growth In Biotechnology Field In Rhode Island

A few weeks before voters decide whether to fund the building of a biotechnology center at a state university, a study shows biopharmaceutical jobs in Rhode Island will grow 200 percent over the next decade. The study by the nonprofit Milken Institute analyzed the economic impact of biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries in every state. It concluded Rhode Island is highly dependent on those industries for job growth and to the state’s economy.
