SPRYNG (SPRYNGme.com) today announced the launch of its uniquely portable calf wrap to relieve muscle aches, accelerate recovery, and improve athletic performance, powered by proprietary pneumatic compression technology called WaveTech®.

SPRYNG features a pair of lightweight, wireless devices -- one for each leg -- which automatically connect via infrared to deliver dual compressions in two different patterns and at three different intensities. With unparalleled mobility and convenience, SPRYNG can be used at the office, on a plane, post-workout at the gym or on the ski slopes, and beyond.

“Whether you’re an athlete, frequent flier, on your feet all day, or desk-bound at work, you’ve likely experienced the pain and discomfort of lactic acid buildup and blood pooling. Active compression is a proven method to combat this by mimicking natural muscle contractions that improve circulation, increase oxygenation, stimulate tissue repair, and flush lactic acid,” said Heshika Deegahawathura, Chief of Recovery at SPRYNG.

“However, this treatment has traditionally involved two major drawbacks: firstly, it tethers the user to a series of wires and hoses, making it too inconvenient for everyday use; secondly, it’s prohibitively expensive and usually reserved for top-tier professional athletes. With SPRYNG, we’re expanding access to the most effective therapeutic treatment in an affordable device that can be used anytime and anywhere.”

Nearly 90% of blood in the legs is pumped back to the heart via the calves. High-intensity workouts and activities can cause calf muscle soreness that makes this circulation less effective. This leads to slower recovery times and lactic acid buildup, which cause muscle cramping, swelling, and risk for further injury.

The benefits from using SPRYNG include:

· Accelerated muscle recovery: Enhanced circulation of nutrient- and oxygen-rich blood supports accelerated healing in muscles.

· Increased athletic performance: Faster recovery means users can get back to the gym and train harder and longer. Improved circulation has also been demonstrated to increase cognitive function.

· Reduced swelling and soreness: SPRYNG’s pneumatic compressions act as a relaxing deep tissue massage that reduces swelling and flush out the lactic acid that causes post-workout soreness.

· Reduce risk of injury: Without proper and adequate recovery, damaged muscles can severely increase the risk of further injury. By accelerating the efficacy of recovery, SPRYNG can help users reduce this risk.

In addition to decades of combined experience in the fields of engineering and biosciences, SPRYNG’s team was heavily influenced by the power-ups and regeneration tools featured in popular video games. The wraps comes in four colorway options that pay homage to fan favorites: Faster Than Comets, Orion Plays Ping Pong, The Blue Flame, Monkey Business.

SPRYNG charges via Micro-USB for up to 2.5 hours of active use, allowing the user to enjoy up to 10 therapeutic sessions at a time. The one-size-fits-most design features fully adjustable velcro straps and a machine-washable inner layer.

While other compression therapy treatments cost thousands of dollars, a pair of SPRYNG wraps will retail for $249 with special VIP pricing for today only for $99 on Kickstarter:
