Potential uses of the Nanomer nanoclays include development of ultra-strong, flame retardant and chemically resistant plastics.
Under the terms of the agreement, Sigma-Aldrich will market and distribute research quantities (less than 1 kg) of six Nanomer(R) nanoclays through the Sigma-Aldrich Materials Science initiative of its Research Specialties business.
