Biotechnology stocks remained stable Tuesday despite a dip in the overall market on a weak housing report and consumer confidence concerns.The Nasdaq Stock Market’s biotechnology index, which covers a broad range of companies from smallcap to large-cap, fell 3.54 points, to end at 769.60.
